About us
Missions for Christ International is a Christian non-profit devoted to a single aim: carrying the gospel to communities where the good news has never been heard — and planting churches strong enough to carry it themselves.
Our story
Most of our work happens where there is no church to walk into, no pastor on staff, and no copy of Scripture in the language of the home. These are villages at the end of footpaths and river journeys — communities of people made in the image of God, waiting for someone to tell them.
So we go. Our teams live among the people they serve, learn their languages, meet their practical needs, and open the Word in the tongue their grandmothers spoke. When a church stands on its own feet with local elders leading it, we hand it over — and walk on to the next village.
How we got here
The beginning
A small team of pastors and translators gathered with a single conviction: the gospel should not depend on a road being built. From living-room prayer meetings, the first village teams were sent.
Growth
As local leaders were raised up in the first region, they asked us to come to their neighbors. Work spread across South Asia, the Pacific, the Amazon basin, and the Sahel — each field led increasingly by hands that were not ours.
Today
Missions for Christ International now supports church-planting teams, translation projects, and mercy ministries across remote communities — and the pace is set not by our budget, but by the readiness of local workers.
What we believe
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God — the final authority for faith and practice, and the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.
Salvation is a gift of God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We proclaim repentance and forgiveness in His name to every people and every language.
The church is God's plan for this age. We exist to plant churches that gather, worship, and make disciples — led by local believers from the very first day.
Jesus commanded His disciples to make disciples of all nations. We go to the places where the gospel has not yet been heard, at any cost, until it has been.
How we work
Methods change with the terrain. These four do not.
Every team enters a village at the invitation of local believers and with the welcome of its leaders. We do not arrive unasked; we come as guests and stay as servants.
A message not understood is a message not preached. We translate Scripture, teach literacy, and preach in the language people dream in.
From the first gathering we train local elders, account for every dollar openly, and plan our own exit — because the church we plant is theirs, not ours.
Remote villages are not projects to be checked off. Our workers commit to years in one place, learning one language, walking with one people through hardship and harvest.
